The following are the main points of difference between nuclear and chemical Reaction-

No breaking or making of bonds is involved.Some bonds are broken and some new bonds are formed.
A very large amount of energy is released.Energy is either absorbed or evolved.
Such reactions are generally irreversible.They can be reversible as well as irreversible.
The rate of reaction is not affected by temperature, pressure etc.Their rates of reaction are affected by temperature and pressure conditions.
